NEW STATE LICENSING REQUIREMENTS
Effective July 1, 2008 residential and general contractors are required to have a Georgia state licensing card that specifies the type of construction work they are allowed to perform. This does not replace your local license - when permitting you will be required to have both. Best Friends 101 Dog Obedience Courses to be Offered at Swift-Cantrell Park
Best Friends 101 Dog Obedience
Best Friends 101 is a 6-week basic dog obedience course. Through fun, easy to follow training techniques (using positive reinforcement), owners will learn how to teach their pet to sit, down, stand, stay, come and heel. Owners will also receive information on canine learning, canine communication, and common behavior problems we experience with our pets. Dogs and puppies should be a minimum of 16 weeks of age to participate, and owners must have proof of immunization or titer in accordance with their veterinarian's prescribed protocols, as well as proof of rabies vaccination.

The registration fee is only $99/$114 (City of Kennesaw resident/Non-resident). [Browse and register for classes...]

Labor Day Holiday Garbage Schedule Changes
The City of Kennesaw will be closed Monday, September 1, 2008 for the Labor Day holiday. There will NOT be any Garbage or Recycle services.

Monday garbage route will be moved to Tuesday and Tuesday garbage route will be moved to Wednesday. If your scheduled recycle day is Monday, you will not have a pick up this week. Monday route will have recycle picked up next week on its regular scheduled day. [Additional info...]
